Founder and Chairman of GW Surveying. Twenty-four years experience in the Royal Navy, after joining as a Marine Engineering Mechanic in 1970 and retiring from the Royal Navy as a Chief Marine Engineering Artificer. Incorporated Engineer, Incorporated Marine Engineer Member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology and Member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying currently the Vice President Elect.

Over fifteen years experience as an independent marine surveyor, principally focusing on small craft surveys for pre-purchase and insurance purposes. Geoff is also a practicing expert witness, providing expert opinion on legal disputes and claims. 

Geoff is one of the contributing module writers for the IIMS HND in Marine Surveying.  He is also a Recreational Craft Directive consultant, conducting post construction assessment of imported vessels and CE Marking. Tonnage measurer and MCA commercial compliance assessor.

Geoff now operates out of our newly opened Portugal office, covering the Algarve, and the rest of the Med.

Manager of the UK office and Marine Surveyor with 10 years part time experience and five years' full time experience in the industry. Graduate of The Arts Institute @ Bournemouth with a BA(Hons) degree and Post-Graduate of the University College Chichester with a PGCE in Design and Technology. Andrew is an Associate Member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying.

Andrew has a proven leadership and management background and possesses a wide range of practical skills and abilities, having taught and lectured in Design Technology, Engineering and Electronics for six years.

Andrew's main areas of operation are small craft and superyacht surveys, cargo operations (containerised, out-of-gauge and break bulk), dangerous goods inspections and cargo damage inspections. Other areas of operation include on-hire & off-hire surveys including bunker surveys and ultrasonic hull thickness surveys.

Akhil joined the company in July 2015.  Akhil came to us with a background in electrical engineering and is currently enroled in the IIMS Diploma in Marine Surveying.  Akhil is experienced and competent at all levels of cargo surveying, including damaged cargo surveys, perishable goods surveys and dangerous goods inspections.  Akhil speaks fluent Malayalam and a little bit of Hindi.  In the future Akhil intends to move into electrical installation inspections.
