Marine cargo surveying is a growing specialisation especially as more and more products are being transported by sea. We cover the full range of cargo surveying services, both nationally and internationally, with associations with all the country's main docks and container terminals. Our reports are clear but concise and inform clients of any and all issues identified.
We offer cargo surveying and inspection services in relation to all aspects of the marine shipping and transportation industries. Please follow the links below to view our general cargo surveying services:

Break Bulk / Out of Gauge Survey

We attend as an independent party to determine the cargo condition on arrival at the port of loading or discharge. We document the loading / discharge process and produce a true and accurate chronological report, which details the condition of the cargo throughout. We also offer shipping line and cargo terminal representation, whereby we devise lifting, stowage and securing plans with full responsibility and supervision of the cargo transfer operations.

Containerised Cargo Survey

We provide a wide variety of services for containerised cargoes. Below you will find some more detail on the main containerised cargo inspections undertaken by our office. Our inspections and formal reports are tailored to suit all client instructions.

Dangerous Goods Inspection

The transportation of dangerous goods is highly legislated with various rules depending on the method of transportation. Our offices offer expert advice and inspections on dangerous goods and compliance with these rules.

Perishable Goods Inspections

This is an area of cargo/goods inspection that we are becoming increasingly involved in, where our aim is to establish the condition of perishable goods, usually in the event of damage or unsuitable transportation conditions.

Loadmaster Superintendency

Planing and execution of unique and challenging break bulk and out of gauge cargo loadings. We will devise lifting arrangements and specify lifting gear required. We will also plan the stowage and securing arrangements and notify the relevant port and shipping line representatives to ensure the operation proceeds smoothly.

All cargoes vary greatly and our instructions are always tailored to suit our clients' requirements. Please do not hesitate to contact our office on +44 (0) 2380 333307 or to discuss your specific requests. Alternatively, please click here to submit an enquiry online.
